Download Hustled for Windows.

It takes a few seconds to install and never asks for an administrator password. Once it is running it sits in your tray, notices what you work on, and writes the timesheet while you get on with the job.

Download for Windows Windows will show a warning. Here is why

  • Version0.1.1
  • Size4.4 MB
  • NeedsWindows 10 or 11, 64-bit

On a Mac? macOS is next. Tell us and we will let you know the day it lands.

Before you install

Windows will warn you. It is not broken.

You will see a blue box that says Windows protected your PC. Windows shows that for any program it has not seen many times before, and Hustled is new. Here is how to get past it, and how to check the file is really ours.

1

Click "More info"

It is the small grey link inside the blue box, just under the message. The box grows and shows the file name.

2

Click "Run anyway"

The button appears at the bottom once the box has opened. That is the whole of it, and the installer takes over.

Nothing else to approve

Hustled installs into your own user folder, so there is no administrator prompt after it. Nothing on the rest of the machine is touched.

Why the warning is there, plainly

Quieting that box means buying a code signing certificate, and we have not done it yet. We would rather say so than have you wonder. Two things are true in the meantime, and both are worth knowing:

  • Updates are signed, and always have been. Once Hustled is installed it will only accept an update that carries our cryptographic signature, so nothing else can hand it a new program to run.
  • You can check this file yourself. Run the command below in PowerShell against the file you downloaded. If the answer matches, the file arrived exactly as we built it.

What happens after you install

You sign in with your email

We send a link, you click it, you are in. There is no password to pick and none to forget. Tracking will not start until you have done this.

You close the window

That is the point. Hustled keeps working from the tray and starts again on its own every time you log in, so there is nothing to remember to switch on.

Your day fills in by itself

Come back at four o'clock and the hours are already there, grouped and ready for you to check. You confirm them. You do not type them.

The promise, on the page you download from

A time tracker. Not spyware.

Hustled records how long you spent and what you spent it on. It has no way to record any of this, because none of it is ever read:

  • No screenshots
  • No keystrokes
  • No clipboard
  • No camera
  • No file contents
  • No web page contents
  • No network traffic
  • No productivity score

Your hours stay on your own machine until you send them somewhere yourself. Read how that works.

If something goes wrong

Stuck? Just tell us.

This is a beta and you are early. A real person reads every message, usually the same day, and a bug report from you is worth more to us right now than almost anything else.
