Time tracking without screenshots.

Plenty of time tracking apps watch your screen, log what you type and photograph your desktop for somebody else to look through. Hustled does none of it: no picture of your screen is ever kept, and nothing it records leaves your computer.

What Hustled never records

  • What you type
  • Pictures of your screen
  • Your clipboard
  • The messages and documents on your screen
  • Your camera and mic
  • Your files
  • The pages you visit
  • Your location

What it does record

The name of the app in front of you, the title of its window, the name of a website but never the page, and when you were active. That is the whole list, and it is enough to fill in a timesheet.

One setting adds to it, and only if you turn it on. Some apps call every window by their own name. With Screen text on, Hustled reads the heading at the top of such a window — a chat’s or a page’s title — on your computer, keeps that one line, and throws the picture away. It never reads password managers, private messengers or sign-in windows.

Your day stays on your computer

Everything Hustled writes down is kept on your own machine and never uploaded. Our servers know your email, and that is all.

Can my employer see what I do?

Only if you show them. Your day is stored on your own computer, so there is nothing for anybody to ask us for either.

Still a real timesheet

Hustled starts with Windows, records on its own, and fills in your timesheet for you. You look it over, fix anything it got wrong, and export it as a CSV. How it works on Windows.
